How do you resolve tolerance conflicts between metal and plastic parts? If they don't fit after assembly, who is responsible?

We emphasize a "Single-Accountability System." Since all molds (both metal and plastic) are developed internally or by Boomster-controlled partners, we conduct fit testing as early as the T1 trial stage. We utilize "Steel Safe" strategies during mold design to allow for precision adjustments, ensuring a perfect fit before mass production. You won't need to mediate between different suppliers; Boomster takes full responsibility for the final assembly dimensions.

How do you prevent stress cracking in plastic insert molding involving metal components?

This requires a combination of material science and process control. Boomster evaluates the preheating temperature of metal inserts to minimize thermal shock during molding. Simultaneously, we select appropriate resin grades (such as glass-fiber reinforced structures) and optimize mold cooling channels to control shrinkage. Our DFM (Design for Manufacturing) team performs Moldflow analysis in advance to predict weld lines and high-stress points.

I only have a physical part/sample but no technical drawings. Can you produce based on a sample? How is quality controlled?

Yes. Boomster will first identify critical dimensions and assembly requirements for mating parts with the client. We then perform reverse engineering to create technical drawings, define tolerances, and specify surface requirements for the customer’s approval. Production will proceed based on the approved drawings, which will serve as the official standard for quality inspection and final acceptance.

In your "One-Stop Service," how do you ensure quality remains consistent across multiple processes (e.g., machining to surface treatment)?

Boomster treats every stage of production as an independent inspection node. We have Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for everything from raw material IQC (Incoming Quality Control) and machining precision to coating thickness testing after surface treatment. Our vertical integration allows us to directly manage the transitions between processes, minimizing yield loss and ensuring the final product meets all blueprint specifications.

For high-precision OEM parts, how does Boomster maintain consistency across mass production batches?

We combine automated machining equipment with a rigorous mold maintenance management system. Through data monitoring and periodic calibration, we minimize process variation. Upon request, we provide comprehensive inspection reports (such as CoC, CPK data) to ensure that the 1st unit and the 10,000th unit share the exact same quality.
